Tiffany called and talked to the Detective last night.  She was clearly already second-guessing this situation.  She called me this morning and she is willing to let me come and get her.  She still doesn't want to live at home, but I told her that we could sit down with her therapist and her mental health support caseworker and see what alternatives there are to get her in a place where she is safe, but feels more independent.

YIPPEE!!  I know it's not over yet, but at least I know she's OK and (at least for now) she's being more reasonable.  Pray for my wisdom and strength as we try to plan appropriately for Tiffany's future.

THANK YOU WILL NEVER EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE TO HELP ME AND SUPPORT ME IN THIS!!  I have made so many new friends, virtually overnight, and my faith in humanity has grown by leaps and bounds.  PLEASE if ever I can return the good you have done me, don't hesitate to ask.

That is wonderful to hear. I hope you find a situation that works well for her and you.

You have been phenomenal throughout this whole thing. I admire your strength.

That's fabulous! Evidently, she still needs a mom, and that's very good news. It says a lot about her level of attachment, and speaks volumes about her in a very good way.

Hopefully, you will be able to find a safe place for her. Here in Virginia we have the Alternative House. It's a place for teens with problems to live, where they can work things out with the family and live independently. Sort of like a halfway house.

Here's to hope!

I'm glad she called, and I've been praying and sending positive thoughts from Eldomere. :) Peace and love to you both.

I'm SO glad to hear this! I hope you can work something out so that she can feel independent but also stay safe (for both your sakes)

Oh Good for her wise descision. I hope this shows that she is making progress.

With all the alcohol, and boys, and running away, I wonder if there isn't some "safe" form of running away.

Thank goodness. I hope everything works out for both of you, and enough time is given to each other to heal and understand.

Best wishes,

I am glad to hear that she has come to her senses some before it became too late. Ease her back in and work with those therapists. If you have good ones, they will do wonders.

Of course, I would be hard pressed not to slap one of those house arrest tracking anklets on her as soon as I saw her if it was my child.

and yes, I know that wouldn't help in this situation...but I would still be sorely tempted to do this totally "DAD" thing.

keep up informed on this as you wish too. None of us mean to pry into private affairs but I dare say a few of us are concerned with where this leads.

Take care... of you both.

Thank Heaven
I am delighted to learn that she's well and that she has, as I had prayed, come to her senses - at least to a degree.

I am glad that I had some small part in the effort to locate her, and I pray for continued reconciliation and harmony.

Your servant aye

I am so glad that she wants to come back and it sounds like you and the therapists are really working things out.

I'll still send good thoughts and prayers your way to make sure this transition goes as well as it possibly can and I hope that Tiffany has learned a lot from this.

I'm SO glad. I'm glad she is safe too. I hope she will continue to be reasonable and won't run off again. Hugs and best of luck to you and Tiffany.

Not sure if you're aware, but your daughter has 3 myspace accounts. I forwarded the info to MySpace and this was the reply:

Please forward this information to the parents of the child in question.

We ask that you please have the police contact us and provide us with the appropriate legal request so we may assist in locating your teen. Alternatively, if you already have filed a police report, please call us at our toll-free service, and be ready to submit to us the following:

1. Phone contact number for the officer/investigator/detective

2. Name of the officer/investigator/detective

3. Case number, if applicable

You may reach us by phone through the following access link:

(Please make sure to select the 'Contact ParentCare by Phone' option.)

Once your teen has been located, we will work with you to remove the account, if that is your preference. Please note that if your teen is logging in while missing, this information can be used to assist in finding the location.

Please send the link/URL of the profile in question. The URL is the profile's web address. It is found after 'http://' towards the top of your browser, in the web address bar. The URL most likely looks like one of the following:

'www.myspace.com/example' or ' http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=0000000&Mytoken=984C708D-C554-1446-8130110631E7300053636285' or something similar.

If you have already submitted the URL/profile ID along with your email, we will verify the profile (this means that we will prevent its deletion for any reason until the investigation is complete).

Thank you,
Customer Care

I am glad that she is safe and will see you. Good luck with everything that you have to work out. I hope that you are getting hugs and love at this time too.
I will keep you all in my prayers.

I am so happy!

Do you think telling her how many
people care about her would help?
Dec. 10th, 2008 05:54 pm (UTC)
I am so happy for you!

I think you need to sit down with Tiffany and the therapist and see just why she doesn't want to live at home anymore. There has to be more to the situation...

*hopes that everything works out*

I just read about her missing and my heart was breaking for you, so I popped on over.

I'm so very glad to hear you've heard from her and that things are looking up.

Much love.....
